The historic heart of Downtown Carrollton featuring Adamson Square and its surroundings is home to an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, galleries and events. Among the treasures here is Georgia's oldest bookstore, Horton's Books and Gifts. Haralson County Military Memorial Park

McIntosh Reserve Park
Over 14 miles of multi-use trails wind through the reserve and alongside the Chattahoochee River, which forms the southern boundary. Hikers, bicycle enthusiasts, and equestrians can enjoy these trails year round. Model airplane enthusiasts will enjoy the grass airstrip located in the lower park near the camping area, and kids will like fishing in one of two ponds or the Chattahoochee River. Rafting and canoeing is allowed with access to the river at Whitesburg. Family reunions, picnics, weddings, birthday parties, and special events take advantage of the unique scenery in this riverside park, and all of these activities, including primitive camping can be arranged through park staff.
