Atlanta Motor Speedway
1.54 mile track that is one of the premier motorsports facilities in the country. Two annual NASCAR Nextel Cup Series races rev up the crowd at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the two larges single-day sporting events each year in the state of Georgia. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series racing also bring thrills to the Speedway. Thursday Thunder Legends and Bandolero racing showcase the talents of the regions up-and-coming drivers for 10 weeks during the summer. Doc Holliday Museum
In Doc's birthplace, Griffin, Georgia the Doc Holliday Museum houses unpublished photos, historic documents and books that give an accurate account of the life and times of Doc Holliday. Guided tours are available covering the points of interest relating to Doc Holliday (by appointment only please). You won't be disappointed! Most of our visitor spend many hours, some the whole day with us. We treat our guests with the true southern hospitality that goes back to the days of Doc Holliday, which was embedded in him as well. He was a true Southern Gentleman but circumstances led him out west where life was completely different than the one he had known growing up a very influential and educated family in the south.
