Established in 1876, this authentic working mill is powered by the Chattahoochee River. Restored log dam. Mill has undergone restoration and is operated by the Fain family using the original French burr stones. Products are sold in the mill and in the mill store adjacent to the mill. Upper Chattahoochee River Recreation Area
The Chattahoochee River is one of the best trout fishing streams in north Georgia. In addition, the Appalachian Trail is nearby, as well as the Horse Trough Falls Interpretive Trail and the Mark Trail Wilderness. Wildlife flourishes in this area, where black bears, turkeys, deer, song birds and other small animals make their home.
