Georgia Mineral Society
The Georgia Mineral Society was organized in 1935. We are a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to educating youth about the earth sciences. We sponsor the Earth Science Education Minigrant Program which funds Earth science programs. GMS also offers a speakers program to interested groups. Hudgens Center for the Arts
The Hudgens Center is comprised of two museums - the Fine Arts Center and the new Children's Arts Museum. There are two gift shops, gallery and exhibit space, classrooms and a 28,000 sq. foot outdoor sculpture garden. Southeastern Railway Museum
Ride in restored cabooses behind steam or diesel locomotives, stand next to the massive driving wheels of the locomotive that once pulled passenger trains to Key West on the “railroad that went to sea,” tour the business car that helped bring the Olympics to Atlanta, pose on the platform of the private car once used by President Warren G.
