Museum of Aviation
Second largest aviation museum in the Southeast with 100 aircraft and missiles, flight simulators and open cockpits. Numerous exhibits in climate-controlled buildings and hangars span aviation events and groups from World War II to current units at Robins Air Force Base. Large exhibits include 14th Air Force Flying Tigers, China-India-Burma "Hump Pilots,", the 483rd B-17 Bomb Group, Brig. Gen. Robert L. Scott "God Is My Co-Pilot," The Tuskegee Airmen and the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. The Sam Nunn Exhibit is housed in the Houston County Board of Education building at 1100 Main Street, Perry, Georgia. Memorabilia from the early childhood days of Retired Senator Sam Nunn to his Washington, D.C. days as a senator from the State of Georgia is displayed Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and is self-guided.
